This variation of "Somerset" is named after Albert H. Morehead, half of the "Morehead and Mott-Smith" team who have published the rules to many solitaire games.
One deck of cards
Object: Play all cards to the foundation.
Tableau: 10 piles.
Rank is built down. Cards must not match the same suit.
If a pile is empty, you can play any card.
You can pick up and play the top card of a pile.
You can move one card, plus another card for every empty cell.
Foundation: 4 piles.
Play "ace" cards to empty piles.
Rank is built up. Cards must match the same suit.
Difference:
The tableau is built via non-matching suits, rather than alternate suit color. With more playable cards, the odds of winning increases quite a bit.
